Early in the week R&B/ Pop singer and former Chocolate City artiste heaved a sigh of relief when he got a temporary relief in the ongoing contractual beef between him and Chocolate City restraining him from recording, releasing or distributing any musical works pending the determination of the case by competent court of jurisprudence.
A judge sitting at the Federal High Court lifted the injunction, saying the artiste is free go on recording and releasing fresh materials while hearing continues.
The presiding judge, Justice Buba IN submitted that Chocolate City would be compensated later depending on the outcome of the case. So the artiste has to carry out his duty as a recording artiste so that both parties would not be at a disadvantage, the judge concluded.
Pundits however suggested that the suit is a vindictive one aimed at shutting up and spiting Brymo for repeatedly making false and unguarded statements in the press. A 2-day hearing of the case has been slated for 19th and 20th of March, 2014.
